A driver creates part of the city’s problems | News, Sports, Jobs








On Aug. 8 at 8:52 a.m., Jamestown officers from First Platoon responded to a car accident with injuries in the vicinity of West Third Street near West Fourth Street in these photos. Upon arrival, they encountered a confrontation involving several people in a nearby parking lot. During this encounter, 20-year-old Blake A. Perry allegedly attempted to assault an officer before fleeing the scene. The officer later used a taser to detain Perry, which resulted in his apprehension without further incident. During an altercation, Perry allegedly punched the operator in the face while trying to flee in the van. The Jamestown police arrived while this was going on. After being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, Perry was charged with attempted robbery in the second degree, attempted theft in the third degree, two counts of assault in the third degree, resisting arrest, failure to comply, unreasonable speed or prudent, reckless driving. , and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
