What Hansal said

In his recent post, he wrote, “My daughter has been trying to apply for an Aadhar card since last 3 weeks. She makes a long journey to the Aadhar office in Andheri East, braving the rains, going quite early, and the manager there keeps sending her back on one pretext or the other. Sign this document, take this document, the stamp is not in the right place, you don’t have an appointment today, I’m on vacation for a week… It’s very frustrating and nothing but harassment.” Hansal also tagged Unique Identification Authority of India and Aadhar official account X in the post.

User reactions

Reacting to the post, one user commented in direct reference to his show Scam 1992: “She needs to comply with the docs! Yaha koi scam nahi hai Mehta ji (No scam works here)!” To this, Hansal replied, “Really? Is getting the government official to put their stamp a little higher a compliance parameter? Stop this BS.”

Another said: “A common man’s life is always difficult because of the corrupt ecosystem, but you are a strong man, you don’t know what the problem is here.” Hansal replied, “I am not a strong man. I am an ordinary middle class citizen of this country. I deserve to be treated better.”

Hansal recently supported his son’s debut OTT show Lootere. His next directorial feature The Buckingham Murders, starring Kareena Kapoor as a detective, is all set to release in September.
