North Texas man killed in single-vehicle crash on I-30 in Arlington, police say

A 26-year-old man was killed Tuesday night on Interstate 30 in Arlington in a single-vehicle crash, police said.

Officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-30 from the southbound Texas 360 exit around 6:10 p.m. A Chevrolet Impala crashed head-on into the concrete barrier separating the two freeways, according to police.

The driver of the Impala died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said. Investigators believe an unsafe lane change led to the crash.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kilton Dandre Gus, of Cedar Hill.

Parts of I-30 were closed Tuesday evening while investigators processed the scene.
