Alien: Romulus has arrived in theaters from director Fede Álvarez, the seventh film in the venerable series. Starring Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu, the film is set roughly 20 years after the events of 1979’s Alien and has been billed as a return to the franchise’s roots.

IGN’s Tom Jorgensen gave Alien: Romulus an 8 out of 10 in his review, saying that “the core approach to the blockbuster horror film puts everything fans love about the tonally fluid franchise into a brutal and thrilling experience “.
