Trump On Musk: I Love That Brilliant Guy

Former President Donald Trump said he loves billionaire Elon Musk during a campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday.

“Elon supported me recently, the other day. He is great. I love Musk. He’s a brilliant guy,” Trump said at his rally, which was broadcast live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. “I’ve always had a good relationship with him.”

Trump referenced Elon’s promise to donate $45 million a month to his campaign.

“He’s giving me $45 million a month – not $45 million, $45 million a month… He didn’t even tell me that. Other guys give you $2 and you have to take it to lunch. He’s a great guy.” Trump said.

Trump said Musk never pressed him on his position on electric vehicles.

“He never said to me, ‘Why are you bashing electric cars?’ I’m not incredible, but I’m not for everyone. Some people need to drive long distances and they can be made in China.

Trump said that he is not against electric cars, he is “totally for them”, but that you cannot have 100% electric cars on the market.
