Luxury design houses are getting slim, launching the sleek and chic ‘Ozempic Coats’ as this autumn’s prettiest fall items.

“It’s a strong, confident look,” Sophie Jordan, menswear buyer at online luxury retailer Mytheresa, told Bloomberg, who coined the cheeky “Ozempic coat” label.

“(It’s) an item that’s incredibly easy to wear,” she said, “and blends into your wardrobe.”

A recent survey found that 15.5 million people — about 6 percent of U.S. adults — have turned to injectables like Ozempic and Wegovy to shed excess pounds.

And the fat-zapping craze has led designers to produce “sexier” designs, with more models featuring adjustable corsets and sheer trim.

However, some tastemakers like Namila have taken a much more literal approach to the tension trend.

The provocative clubwear creator debuted the ever-controversial “I heart Ozempic” shirt during Berlin Fashion Week in July. It sparked critics who deemed the top posts “toxic”.

But it seems the growing Ozempic clothing movement is less about chasing fat-loss fads and more about reviving slightly dated pieces like trenches and rompers.

Cheerfully saying goodbye to voluminous coats and oversized dresses, fashion visionaries such as Yohji Yamamoto – as well as Maximilian Davis, the creative director behind Ferragamo, Sabato De Sarno for Gucci and designers Jil Sanders, Luke and Lucie Meier – make an appearance. bring out skinny styles for this year’s autumn/winter collections.

And fashionistas who want to be slim eat it.

Online queries for “long skinny coats” have increased by 16% in recent months, according to Lyst, a global fashion search engine.

Gen Z glamor girls have even likened the frenzy to the popular ‘old money aesthetic’ – also known as ‘stealth wealth’. It’s a viral nod to high-end wardrobe classics, but with low brightness.

“The ‘Inspector Gadget’ coat of my dreams,” gushed the New York-based brunette behind TikTok fashion influencer @AllTheFinery as she modeled a “gorgeous” pleated trench coat by Sandro Paris.

Jasmine Howell, an Australian clothing content creator, recently turned heads in a matching long white coat for the digital crowd, calling the waist-cinching jumpsuit “the epitome of understated elegance.”

And her fellow diva down under, Katherine Londono, a stylist, wore a Pfeiffer trench coat separately.

She stamped her stylish post with hashtags like “#CoatSeason” and “#OldMoneyOutfit.”
