A large portion of Kelly Clarkson's fans are upset with the way her Kellyoke covers are finally released

When Kelly Clarkson had her own talk show in 2019, it didn’t mean American Idol The winner’s singing days were over. She starts each episode from The Kelly Clarkson Show doing karaoke covers (AKA Kellyoke) of trending songs that sound like gold coming off her lips. Now those Kellyoke covers are finally out, however, fans have been quick to note how upset they are about where you can get the songs.

One of the best aspects of The Kelly Clarkson Show it’s Kellyoke and you’re getting a mini-concert featuring your favorite songs performed by the pop singer herself. Just when you thought Kellyoke covers could only be heard on the NBC sitcom or through YouTube clips, Clarkson he posted on Twitter the new location for her covers:

Here it is. The Kellyoke cover will now be heard on Kelly Clarkson’s new SiriusXM channel, Clarkson Connection. Released in November 2023, the “Breakaway” singer uses this radio platform to play favorite songs from other musicians who have inspired her, as well as stories of her own best songs.

While news of Kellyoke’s launch may be music to the ears of SiriusXM subscribers, non-subscribers to the broadcaster aren’t exactly thrilled. @JaviHA92 I got a better idea of where the Kellyoke covers should be by posting:

We need them on Spotify

I can understand the need to the best Kellyoke covers to be heard on Spotify. After all, a February Forbes The report says Spotify had 10 million paid subscribers last quarter, contributing to a total of 236 million. SiriusXM actually reported a loss of 94,000 radio subscribers. Even though Spotify is the most popular streaming platform, it makes sense that her songs would end up on her own SiriusXM station.

However, fans are still upset, as @thatssodavid_ posted about another obstacle that song location presents:

And nothing for international fans as always

Conformable SiriusXM Official Sitestreaming radio service is only available in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada through SiriusXM Canada Inc. Therefore, this would mean that fans outside of those countries would miss out on hearing remastered hits of possible songs like her. Katy Perry cover of “Wide Awake”, her version of Keith Urban’s “Somebody Like You”. or many of them Miley Cyrus covers.

@AlishaE51871958 also had a mixed reaction to the news of Kellyoke’s release, writing:

So cool and wonderful! I’m a little disappointed because I can’t get it.

That’s absolutely wonderful news for SiriusXM fans who can count on the sweet notes Kelly Clarkson delivers on her covers. Plus, it’s good that the Kellyoks finally have their own home after all these years of only existing on talk shows. Unfortunately, however, this also means that a lot of Clarkson’s fans will be missing out if they don’t subscribe to her radio station.

After the “Stronger” singer posted the same news on Instagram@marcoasxd commented with the same dire request that X users had:

Release them on Spotify too!

It’s a shame some kind of deal can’t be reached where Clarkson Connection was also available on Spotify. After all, there are so many Spotify podcasts with millions of hits that the music streaming service can also benefit from. Instagram user @lisajefferysphotography had an obvious answer for what non-SiriusXM subscribers should do to get their hands on these new songs:

That alone is reason to subscribe to Sirius. Her covers are amazing. Agree with other comments, release them everywhere! They deserve to be heard again and again.

While news of Kelly Clarkson’s Kellyoke covers coming to SiriusXM may be upsetting to her fan base, at least satellite subscribers will have a chance to hear these remastered covers. After all, it is better than not being released at all.

More Kellyoke covers are expected to be part of season six of The Kelly Clarkson Show when it premieres on TV schedule 2024 sometime this fall. Until then, you can watch recent episodes with a Peacock subscription.
