Tim Walz’s unseasoned tacos spark a heated mic moment with Kamala Harris.

If there’s one thing that could make Vice President Kamala Harris reconsider her choice of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, it might come down to how she seasons her food.

In a now-viral video shared on August 15, the 2024 presidential candidate sat down with her running mate to discuss their campaign. The video included slight digs at the “White Boy Tacos” that Walz eats at home. Harris seemed to be trying to hear Walz out, but lost it when he admitted that he doesn’t season his beef.

“Like, I have tacos for white men and…” Walz said before Harris cut in to ask, “What does that mean? Mayonnaise and tuna?

There’s no mayo and no tuna, but Harris was disappointed to learn that Walz was just seasoning his ground meat with cheese.

“Do you put any flavoring on it?” Harris asks, to which Walz replies, “Uh, no.”

“Ohhhhh,” Harris says as she turns from her VP pick.

“Listen, I’m just not a spice guy,” Walz claimed when he tweeted the video clip.

In the video, Walz goes on to explain that “black pepper is the pinnacle of spice in Minnesota.” He also admits he wants to expand his food knowledge, which Harris says is possible because Minnesota has watermelons.

The exchange went viral on social media, with Now this impact jknowing Walz’s unseasoned tacos might get Harris to pick a new VP.

“Tim will leave his eight-year tenure as VP with a whole recipe book,” one viewer wrote.

“I like having candidates WITH who we can laugh at and not AT,” added another.

While the exchange seemed quiet in tone, on the other side of the political debate, conservatives fought over Walz referring to his food as “white man tacos.”

“Why is Kamala the taco expert?” asked Fox & Friends co-host Will Cain. “Did she say white boy tacos are tuna in mayo?”

Conservative pundit Mike Cernovich accused Walz of lying about not seasoning his beef and cited an old taco recipe he shared with the public. “Tim Walz is such a compulsive liar and evasive that I decided to see if he lied about not seasoning his food.”

Tim’s Turkey Taco Tot Hotdish includes onion, red pepper, garlic, chili powder, and paprika, all key ingredients in a well-seasoned meal.
