Michael Bolton sets record for most police cars seen at home

Singer Michael Bolton has assured fans he is fine after police were spotted at his Connecticut property.

X user @Ninomoleromeo posted on the social media site (formerly Twitter) that they spotted several law enforcement cars outside the Grammy Award winner’s home in Westport, Conn., writing: “Something with multiple police cars going on at Michael Bolton’s house here in Westport CT I hope he is ok.”

Bolton himself responded to the post to reassure fans that he was fine.

“Everything is fine! I’m getting ready for a little landscape project (smiley emoji) thanks for checking out!” wrote the singer.

Newsweek has reached out to the Westboro Police Department and Bolton’s representatives via email for comment.

One fan responded to the Grammy winner’s post, saying they were relieved by his update.

“Glad you’re ok,” wrote @ChristianGinaB.

In January, the 71-year-old revealed he had undergone surgery for a brain tumor but was doing well.

“Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success,” he wrote on Facebook. “I am now recovering at home and surrounded by the wonderful love and support of my family.”

Bolton added that he would take a break from touring to focus on “dedicating his time and energy to recovery”.

“It’s always the hardest thing to postpone a show, but I have no doubt I’m working hard to speed up my recovery and get back to performing soon,” he wrote.

Bolton has since has updated fans on his health on Instagram, including a May post where he told them he was “healing well and doing better every day.”

“I enjoyed the company of my daughters and grandchildren during this time at home and practiced on my green whenever it wasn’t raining! Thank you all so much for all your kind messages and I hope to see you very soon!! Bolton wrote.

A few days later, Bolton announced that his return to the stage will take place in London in July 2025, where he will perform his greatest hits in concert with special guest Bonnie Tyler.

“Thank you all for your support during my recovery! Although I wish I could have been there sooner, I can’t wait to spend a special night together at the O2 London next summer!!! Much love. MB,” he wrote on Instagram in May.

The singer had a career spanning over 50 years, but rose to fame in the 1980s by changing his musical style from rock to power ballads.

Bolton has sold over 75 million albums and is known for songs such as ‘How Am I Supposed to Live Without You’ and ‘Said I Loved You But I Lied’.
