Robert Griffin III offers to give the Heisman to the fan who called the ESPN Show to defend him

Robert Griffin III was shockingly fired from ESPN on Thursday for budgetary reasons, and many fans took issue with the network’s decision regarding the former NFL quarterback.

One fan in particular called out The Paul Finebaum Show on Friday to air his displeasure and express why he liked Griffin’s comment Monday night countdown. He went on a long tirade about all the reasons he loved Griffin’s contributions.

“It was a gem. I enjoyed it. It was fresh and bright and had a modern edge to it. I’m a fan,” said fan Colin from Alabama. “I hate to hear that, Paul.” It’s a waste, man.

Colin’s compliments to Griffin reached the former quarterback. Griffin posted the video on Twitter and wants to show Colin his gratitude in a pretty special way.

“Someone find Colin from Alabama for me,” Griffin tweeted. “He can have our Heisman for a day.”

It would be great if Colin could keep the Heisman Trophy for a day that Griffin won in 2011 while at Baylor. Let’s hope Griffin can find him.
