Rapper targets member of hip-hop group in diss track after tour cancellation

Rapper Pras has released a track about his former Fugees bandmate Lauryn Hill following the cancellation of the group’s North American reunion tour.

In the song, titled “Bar Mitzfa,” Pras blames Hill for canceling the tour, saying, “Don’t blame me, blame her. She made the mess. I told “Clef” not a dime.

“No one will remember: clickbait beef, how many Gucci bags you owned, fake apologies,” he also wrote on his Instagram Story. “People will remember: how you made them feel, if you kept your word, if they could count on you, if you were on time!!!”

The song, which can be heard on TMZ , also references Pras’ guilty verdict in a fraud trial last year, with the line “Obama’s name in findings had to plead fifth/DoJ was a walk in the park in compared to this. .” He is currently appealing the verdict.

The tour was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hill’s solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and featured her former Fugees bandmates Pras and Wyclef Jean. However, the North American dates were canceled just days before the first show was to begin.

In a social media post, Hill said the cancellation was due to low ticket sales.

“Last year, I faced an injury that required the rescheduling of some of my shows. Unfortunately, some media outlets’ penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines created a narrative that hurt ticket sales for the North American leg of the tour,” she said in a statement. “The confidence and faith I have in my intentions and my commitment to my art seem to have been overshadowed by this unfortunate portrayal.”

Pras dismissed Hill’s explanation, telling TMZ that “I saved his reputation for 20 years by not telling my side of the story, but oops… the cat is out.”
