To celebrate 60 years of banking in the Magic City, First Western Bank is hosting a community appreciation luncheon today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Scandinavian Heritage Park.

The luncheon is open to everyone in Minot and the surrounding communities. All activities and food at the event are free. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served, courtesy of Marketplace Foods. There will also be bounce houses, miniature golf, ax throwing, a mobile escape room, hands-on children’s activities, ice cream and more fun for all ages. In addition to the festivities, there will also be giveaways, including a $500 Marketplace Foods gift card and other prizes.

In the spirit of giving back, First Western Bank is also hosting a “Essentials for learning” snack during the event to help with back to school snacks for students in need. Attendees are encouraged to contribute individually wrapped non-perishable snacks such as granola bars, goldfish crackers, pretzels, trail mix, fruit leather or unsweetened applesauce. A donation bin will be available at the event.

“We are extremely grateful for the support of the Minot community and the trust you have placed in First Western Bank & Trust over the past 60 years.” said Brenda Foster, president and CEO of First Western. “This event is our way of giving back and showing our appreciation for the people who make this city magical.”
