Uttarakhand CM Dhami hoists tricolor at his residence as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) (India), Aug 14 (ANI): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the tricolor at his official residence in Dehradun on Wednesday as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of the Independence Day.

The Chief Minister also paid tribute to the victims of Partition on the ‘Partition Horrors Commemoration Day’. “On Partition Remembrance Day, I pay tribute to the millions of families who endured the pain of Partition and faced countless hardships. On this day in 1947, our country was divided on the basis of religion. This venom of discrimination and hatred has led to the displacement of millions of brothers and sisters and the loss of thousands of lives,” CM Dhami said in a post on X.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoisted the tricolor at his residence in the national capital as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the Tiranga at his residence in Lucknow and took a selfie with it, participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative.

Earlier on Tuesday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar along with Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju and Mansukh Mandaviya took out a bike rally as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.

Vice President Dhankhar remarked that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign symbolizes our independence, pride and commitment to a Viksit Bharat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asked citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

In the 112th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi asked all Indians to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

“Har Ghar Tiranga” is an initiative under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, launched in 2021 to encourage people to bring Tiranga home and hoist it to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. The campaign aims to instill a sense of patriotism in the hearts of people and increase awareness about the Indian national flag. (YEAR)
