Bodycam footage released in Marana of hot car death of 2-year-old

MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN) — Body camera footage of the scene after investigators arrive at the July 9 hot car fatality incident in Marana has been released.

Footage shows paramedics trying to revive 2-year-old Parker Scholtes after she was left in a car for about three hours.

As seen in the body camera footage, Christopher Scholtes, her father, claims he left her in the car “no more than 30, 45 minutes.”

Christopher was seen pacing around the house nervously. He reacted strongly when told that the residence was to be determined by the crime scene.

“So I’m being treated like a criminal?” he asked when told the house was the crime scene.

Scholtes faces charges of first-degree murder.
