Stephen Nedoroscik Recreates Superman’s Epic Phone Booth Scene in ‘Tonight Show’ Teaser

When Team USA gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik was hailed as an American hero at the 2024 Paris Olympics thanks to his pommel horse routine, many fans compared him to Clark Kent for a myriad of reasons. So it was only fitting that he portray Superman when he attends Tonight’s show.

First, Nedoroscik became a meme before his pommel horse routine in the team competition. He wore the glasses before the routine and closed his eyes to focus before taking the stage. But he removed his glasses once he played, just like Clark Kent removes his disguise before becoming Superman.

And then, of course, many Americans consider Nedoroscik a hero because he helped Team USA’s men’s gymnastics team win its first medal since 2008. The team won bronze in the competition.

Nedoroscik played in this comparison when he prepared for Tonight’s show on Tuesday night. He recreated his iconic “eyes closed” moment in the dressing room before stepping into a phone booth. There, he removed his glasses and unbuttoned his shirt to show off his two bronze medals from the Paris Olympics.

It’s hard to tell the difference between him and Clark Kent now.
