Eugene and Dan Levy will host the 2024 Emmy Awards

Father-son duo and ex Schitt’s Creek Co-stars Eugene and Dan Levy have struck a deal to host the 2024 Emmy Awards.

Now in its 76th year, the annual awards show honors the best in television. This year’s ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15, and will be broadcast live on ABC.

At Emmy 2020, which was affected by the pandemic, the last season of Schitt’s Creek set a comedy streak record with nine wins in a single year. Eugene won Best Actor in a Leading Role, while Dan won Best Supporting Actor, as well as awards for Outstanding Director and Outstanding Screenplay.

“For two Canadians who won the Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of ​​being asked to host this year in an actual theater was stimulating enough,” Levy said in a statement. “We’re delighted to raise a glass to this amazing season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on September 15.”

Among this year’s top Emmy nominees are: Shogun, Bear, Only murders in the building, True Detective: Night Country, Crownand Saturday Night Live.
